Weil Provided Counsel on $2 Billion Olympus Deal at Heart of Growing Scandal	Top
Along with three Magic Circle firms and a prominent Japanese firm, Weil, Gotshal & Manges advised Olympus on its 2007 acquisition of British medical equipment maker Gyrus Group—and, according to the company's former CEO, advised the digital camera maker against paying a whopping $687 million in financial advisory fees that are now reportedly being investigated by the FBI.
