Discovery Order Relieves Party of Review of 65 Million E-Documents | Top |
A federal judge has excused compliance with a discovery agreement that would have required the plaintiff to produce an estimated 65 million documents, finding it would cost too much to screen them for privilege and saying the case "highlights the dangers of carelessness and inattention in e-discovery."

A 9th Circuit panel on Wednesday grilled the lawyer who represents Joe Arpaio, "America's toughest sheriff," in a suit that accuses Arpaio and his cronies of arresting two Phoenix newspaper executives on bogus charges in retaliation for the paper's aggressive coverage of Arpaio.
