The world's largest law firm by attorney headcount continued to grow this week. DLA Piper added four more partners on Wednesday, including two practice group leaders from White & Case in New York and two IP and technology partners from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Houston.
N.Y. State Bar's New Head Stresses Importance of Family	Top
One of Vincent E. Doyle III's priorities as the new president of the New York State Bar Association will be to try to make the group -- and the Bar -- more family friendly. Doyle says it is "absolutely a core requirement now" that law firms recognize that families sometimes are more important than clients.

Women made a strong showing in recent law school dean searches, accounting for about 40 percent of the deans named in recent months. "I think it's great," said Ann Bartow, a professor at Pace Law School and an administrator of the Feminist Law Professors blog.
