The Federal Circuit reversed a holding by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. That board had ruled in December 2009 that filing a reissue patent application that kept all the initial patent claims and only differed from the original by adding narrower claims was impermissible. | |
