Federal Circuit Refuses to Dismiss Appeal After Tivo/EchoStar Settlement Top
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has denied TiVo Inc. and EchoStar Corp.'s joint bid to dismiss an appeal after the parties reached a $500 million settlement of a suit initially brought by Tivo in 2004. Morgan Chu, a partner at Los Angeles-based Irell & Manella, is Tivo's lead trial counsel.
