POSITION

Software Architect

Philadelphia , PA

Long Term

 

Responsibilities

* Proven full-stack experience in architecture, design and development of native application and browser-based web applications using iOS architecture, Java, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (Angular/Node), Java Web Services (REST)

* Coordinate between business and IT stakeholders to develop a solution architecture approach.

* Translate complex functional, technical, and business requirements into architectural designs.

* Work with lead Architect to setup and implement best practices

* Create Proof of Concepts for Technology Demonstration or providing guidance to team

* Be hands on in development to be a team contributor.

* Work with a strong collaborative Agile team

 

 

Skills and abilities

* Candidate must have designed and developed enterprise applications

* Excellent knowledge in Objective C or Swift and Java.

* Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in Java

* Strong expertise in Spring Framework

* Knowledge and experience with software engineering best practices

* Demonstrated experience providing estimates on requirements and solution information

* Excellent problem solving skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* High level of initiative and self-motivation

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals

* Demonstrated ability to organize time effectively, determine priorities, and move work forward

* Demonstrated ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures and recommend improvements

 

Education and experience

* Minimum B.S. degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent work experience and/or education in lieu of a degree

* 5+ years of industry experience in Application architecture, design & development.

* Experience with iOS platform and Java development platform

 * Experience with critical data validation including accuracy of formulae and algorithms used in the processing and reporting of stored data

* Working experience in both Linux and Windows environment.
