Job Description
We are seeking developers with experience in delivering quality infrastructure automation components within our cloud automation framework. The goal is to automate typical database, web and Infrastructure management actions which will be used for end user self-service or operations administration. The incumbent will be responsible for using rest APIs, scripting and various Infrastructure and Middleware software components to deliver database and web management console tools on the Linux Platform.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of application programming
- Familiarity with using rest API's.
- JavaScript and UNIX scripting
- Proven track record for automating Oracle RDBMS and JEE(JBoss/Tomcat/Apache) Administrative Tasks
- Oracle Database Administration
- JEE (JBoss/Tomcat/Apache) Administration
- Familiarity with SOAP and Linux Services
- Security Access Controls on Linux (RHEL) Operating Systems
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be a fast learner
- Must be able to learn on the fly and figure out solutions as needed
- Passion for providing excellent customer service
- Must have a genuine interest in improvement and seeing the big picture vision while driving targeted improvements
- Interest in being part of a team, and ability to work effectively with both local and remote staff, teammates and managers
- Creative Problem Solver
- Able to clearly and correctly express complex technical concepts in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with writing VMware vRA/vRO workflows (Ver 6)
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment; ability to multi-task, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Cloud Computing Principles
- Experience in provisioning middleware within a virtual environment
- Experience developing technical diagrams with tools such as Microsoft Visio
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile concepts
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
