We currently have an opportunity for a
 ETL Consultant with a major direct Teradata client Miamisburg, OH 

Role : ETL Consultant
Location: Miamisburg, OH
Duration : 6 months with possible extension of another year
Min : 8+Years  Experience required
This work is remote/virtual Work

The ETL Consultant specializes in the design and development of the ETL environment, processes, programs, and scripts to acquire data from source systems and apply the data to the tables in the database. This individual must have the skills necessary to understand the overall data warehouse architecture. The ETL Consultant designs and builds the ETL environment with the specific toolset required by the client. The ETL Consultant may also provide input to the database designer to optimize the data loading of the physical database. The ETL Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project. 

Teradata ETL Developer 

Key Responsibilities 
• Analyze new data sources for inclusion into the enterprise data warehouse; 
• Work with federal and contractor staff to identify ETL requirements; 
• Create and update Interface Control Documents (ICDs); 
• Create ETL Functional specifications that document source to target mappings; 
• Create new Informatica ETL streams for additional data sources. The likely sources, though not limited to only these, would be data from the Shared Systems, Providers systems, or Medicaid claims data; 
• Follow established CMS standards for implementing Informatica ETL on a IDR database. These standards include, but are not limited to, enforcing referential integrity and following purgatory requirements; 
• Collaborate and coordinate with the other contract Government Task Leads as directed by CMS; 
• ETL Utilizing IDR staging tables while following CMS standards. 
• Becomes knowledgeable on the IDR Data Model using Informatica ETL 
• Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex data issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate actions. 
• Works on problems / projects of diverse complexity and scope. 
• Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. 
• Strong proven analytical ability and ability to solve problems independently 

Qualifications 
• Experience with developing ETL streams using Informatica and Teradata; 
• Experience with large data warehouses. 
• Knowledge of SQL and Unix required, Teradata is the underlying database. 
• Solid investigative skills to find root cause for ETL problems; 
• Strong data analytical skills; 
• Ability to identify and create detailed requirements; 
• Ability to create ETL specifications and create data mappings; 
• Experience with "push down" functionality of Informatica to maximize performance; 
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other contract Government resources; 
• Good understanding of IDR processes; 
• Solid understanding of production IDR ETL streams. 

This work is remote/virtual, with possibility of travel 4 times per year to Baltimore, MD. Travel expenses WILL NOT be reimbursed.

Duration is through 4/14/2016, plus one option year.
